Sunday April 5th
The Home Church Hop @ Church of the Resurrection, 6am and 10am
Encounter Jesus at our joyful celebration of his resurrection! A continuation of the Vigil services begun the day before, our Easter morning services have identical liturgies. They include: the Acclamation that “Christ is Risen!”, the Holy Noise, baptisms, and the first Communion of Easter.

Tuesday April 7th
Return of the Mario Movie Night, 5:30pm – 10pm
A big night out in downtown Downers Grove with some very cool people at a VERY cool historic theater, watching a potentially cool movie. Bonus points if you wear a Mario hat and/or ‘stache! We’ll also be grabbing dinner together nearby.

Wednesday April 8th
A Merrittorious Worship Night, 7:30pm – 10pm
Join us this year for our Fourth Annual Worship Night! The evening will include prayer, several worship songs, and some reading of Scripture that reminds us of the hope that we have in Jesus amidst whatever season we happen to find ourselves in. Then, we will have a time of fellowship, and maybe some desserts/light snacks if you want to bring something to bless those who attend! 🙂

Thursday April 9th
The Moth – 7:30pm – 10pm
Low-key storytelling night! Back by popular demand, The Moth is based off a New York stage production where volunteers share personal stories inspired by a theme. You can come to tell a story or just come to listen. The theme this year is “The Domino Effect.” Basically, a chain reaction of events, where a small thing ends up turning into a big thing, like how your mom joining a bowling league ends with you marrying the love of your life. Looking forward to hearing some great stories!

Friday April 10th
Fantastic Game Night! 6:30pm – till such time as is fit
Games galore!! With the nice weather, we might start with some games outside and then come in to play all sorts of games (Poetry for Neanderthals, Secret Hitler, Imagine If, Euchre, Tripoley, Wingspan, etc… to name a few). If you have a favorite, please bring it. There will be light refreshments served. Please feel free to bring something to share. Can’t wait to see everyone!

Saturday April 11th
2 Wheeling 4 fun! (aka a bike ride) 10:30am – 1pm
We will be meeting in downtown Wheaton at Mile Marker 0. It is at Liberty and Carlton. We will push off at 10:45am for any stragglers. Depending on the group, we will confirm a route. But at the moment, we can go out on the Prairie Path north/west to Prince Crossing then connect to The Great Western Trail, where we will turn right (heading east) to County Farm then south towards Geneva. Where we will plan to stop off at the Dairy Queen to get a yummy snack (if you would like (please bring some $$ ).) Then, we will ride back to the starting point. If you don’t want to ride that far, you can meet us in the DQ parking lot. Please just let me know at 630-677-5714. Thanks!

Flag Island: A Capture the Flag Event, 5:30
Come out to the island park in Geneva and face off in a friendly battle of strategy, athletics, and wit. We’ll be playing capture the flag on the Island Park near downtown Geneva. We may be trying some unique rules to make the game even more interesting and we may be able to get in a night game. Come and test yourself and have fun! But be sure to bring shoes and clothes that you are okay getting wet and muddy
